How to check if the Lab form Req. # matches ANTECH Lab results

Why didn't this pet's Antech Lab Results transfer into Vetspire?

This is a commonly asked question and there is a common reason that this happens:  The Requisition Number on the form sent with the lab samples does not match the Req No. on the lab form in Vetspire.

This can happen when a lab is ordered, the form printed, and sent with the samples, then the test is deleted in Vetspire and reordered, but the new form is not used for the samples.  Each Lab ordered in Vetspire has a unique Req No. that is specific to that order.

How to double-check that the lab form sent out with the lab samples matches what is in Vetspire:

  1. Go to the patient "Labs" tab and locate the pending lab
  2. Click on View Details
  3. Click on Print Order Form
  4. See the Req No underneath the bar code in the upper right-hand corner
  5. Navigate to the ANTECH Diagnostics Webpage and login using the hospital's credentials found under the Lab information in Vetspire.
  6. Once Logged in, click on Labs in the left-hand corner
  7. Click on Lab Order History
  8. Search for the patient (setting date range if necessary)
  9. See the Order Ref number.
  10. This number should match the Req No of the Pending lab in Vetspire.  If it does not match, the results will not transfer to Vetspire.
  11. The resolution is to call Antech and have them queue the results to be sent to the chart.
