Common Reasons Why Clients/Patients Cannot be Found

  • Patient or Client name is spelled incorrectly, including special characters
    • B.B vs BB vs BeeBee vs Bee Bee
    • Keep in mind that an uppercase i (I) can look like a lower case L (l)
  • The client/patient account was merged into another account
  • The person presenting the pet is not the listed owner
    • Wife, husband, pet-sitter, etc
    • To search for a co-owner's name or phone number, use the Clients tab
  • The client or patient is marked as inactive
    • Use the Clients tab to search for inactive accounts
  • The client changed their phone number and it was not updated in Vetspire
  • The patient was transferred to a different account
    • This can be viewed by viewing the Client Information page and selecting View History
