Vital Pacs: How to set up your Vital Pacs Integration

Support Process

Setting up the Integration

  1. Go to the practice’s Vetspire site and log in.
  2. Navigate to More > Admin > Labs
  3. Search for and select the practice you are setting up
  4. Click on Add New Laboratory in the top right corner.
  5. In the new box enter:
  1. Laboratory Name: Vital Pacs
  2. Company: Vital Pacs
  3. Account Number: Leave Blank
  4. Markup Multiple: Leave Blank
  5. Username: Enter the username provided by Vital Pacs
  6. Password: Enter the password provided by Vital Pacs
  7. Clinic ID: Enter the Site ID/Subdomain provided by Vital Pacs
  8. Toggle Auto Invoice to Yes.
  9. Click update

Testing the Integration

Testing for this integration is limited.  The only test you can do it to see if you can successfully order a radiograph by doing the following:

  1. Selecting the practice in the drop-down in the top right corner
  2. Go to a test patient (e.g. D.O.G. Breckenridge)
  3. Start a New Encounter (e.g. Note - Orders & Notes (PVA))
  4. Click on '+Order Lab' above the Orders box
  5. In the new box:
    1. Lab Box: Vital Pacs
    2. Radiology: Select a modality being used by the practice.
    3. Select a test from the drop-down
    4. Select a provider (e.g. Team No Provider)
    5. Click "Order Lab"
  6. If you receive no errors, you can assume the integration is working.
